Ore Ore Ore

10k PFP Drop communication design assets in collaboration with Metadibs and OREMOB.

Introduction

Like the first drop “ORE 100” by Berlin based Anime artist Ore Ore Ore, the 10,000 PFP Drop 2023 was sold out within 25 hours. This success was fueled by holistic communication and a sophisticated marketing strategy. In the course of the new drop, the website oremob.io has also been relaunched. All work has been done for Metadibs and in collaboration with the artist.

Approach

The exchange on Twitter and Discord has grown into an ongoing discourse through regular and daily interaction with a rapidly growing community. The respective announcements on the platforms before, during and after the drop are designed accordingly loud as an extended arm of the OREMOB CI.

Also in terms of content, it was a core of the artist Ore Ore Ore to play with small twists and hidden messages that are often only realizable at second glance. Filigree details and brutalist components thus complement each other and create a progressive aesthetic.

Outcome

The Berlin based artists ORE ORE ORE is pushing boundaries by drawing from influences of the 90s and Y2K, while at the same time celebrating modern underground-, street- and pop-culture. With his collection of unique characters, he bridges reality and nostalgia, using modern, digital ways to sell his art successfully as NFTs.

The new website is working with an immersive scrollytelling: Users are guided through a blasted gate into an abandoned theme park that serves as OREMOB’s hideout from the police. A temple that looks like a dragon who keeps tabs on his realm is the heart of that park. The place harbors the OREMOB groups and outlaws, who’ve already left their mark with expressive graffiti art. The depicted world is colored in bright red and vigorous blue. The typography is used on a large scale and looks very plain at first glance, but it takes on a very striking character thanks to its boldness and the little twists in the details.

In addition to this concise and exciting aesthetic, the focus is always on the message in the course of communication. A large collection of material was created to connect the analog world with the digital spheres through exciting visuals. For example, lettering in a threatening letter aesthetic was incorporated into the announcements. For this, each letter was cut out individually and scanned back in. Handcrafted pieces were also created specifically for this communication: In many illustrations, you can find small irregularities in the background that indicate analog manufacturing.
