Introduction

The jeweler Fochtmann stands for honest craftsmanship carried out in a family of six generations. Here are one-off pieces designed and crafted by hand specially for their wearers. Jewels, silver and gold – all presented in a design-language inspired by nature.

Challenge

Werner Fochtmann turned to the Moby Digg Design Team for a digital representation of his craft – as stylish and timeless as the jewellery itself. The challenge was to represent the company’s long tradition in a tangible and timeless manner, just like the quality of the jewellery itself. 

Outcome

Elegant serifs and a clear design language. The newly formed website puts focus on the gemstones and the jewellery made out of them. The unique creations of jewellery and the radiance of these fine stones are put into focus using black and white motifs. Photoshoots show the jewellery placed on hands, because Werner Fochtmann emphasises the importance of jewellery only coming to life on the wearer. The new webshop enables people to enjoy the jewellery even in a comparatively lower price segment.
