Shaping a brighter future with the power of the sun. Branding refresh and website design for photovoltaic manufacturer Emondo from Munich.
Introduction
Emondo offers high-quality solar modules and customized photovoltaic systems for private households, businesses and industry. The aim for Moby Digg was to convey the young company’s motivation to contribute to the use of sustainable energy sources in a branding refresh and a new website.
Approach
As part of the rebranding, the logo, colors and typography were renewed to reflect the values of innovation, sustainability and energy. First, a new color palette and a new typeface were defined. The colors take up the existing brand identity and expand it with secondary colors in shades of yellow and orange. The entire color palette is based on the colors of the sky and picks up on the warmth of the sun.
The design surfaces play with a mixture of large typography, white space, images and disruptive elements. Highlights are emphasized in colored boxes reminiscent of solar cells. The disruptive elements in different highlight colors can be integrated into various layouts.
The imagery shows the wide range of possible applications for solar systems. Whether on the roofs of homes or industrial buildings, the collectors are visible at any time of day. The lighting creates an inviting atmosphere and provides a visually appealing contrast.
Website
As part of the rebranding, the website was adapted to the new design and fundamentally rethought. Existing content was restructured and some areas were completely redesigned to maximize clarity and user experience. The website offers a comprehensive overview of the advantages and conditions of photovoltaic systems and leads to the funnel, which converts leads into conversations, in a target group-oriented manner (adapted to private and business customers). The new website gives an insight into Emondo’s working culture and shows how young and dynamic the team is.
Challenges
The biggest challenge was to translate the dynamic and progressive thinking of the young team into the design and to develop a new, appealing design language from the company’s core values and ambitions. The aim was to find a balance between innovation and clarity in order to appeal to the target group and communicate the company’s values effectively.
Result
The aim of the project was to give Emondo a modern appearance that reflects the company’s future viability and innovative strength. The new website uses numerous small interactions and a tile layout that gives the user a clear overview of the services, values and corporate culture. Emondo has been committed to the energy transition since 2017, and the website conveys this commitment in a clear and inviting way.
